Delhi Sikhs Protest Against Varun Gandhi’s Remarks

On Friday March 27, Sikh community protested on streets against alleged derogatory remarks made by Varun Gandhi against Sikhs. Activists of National Akali Dal(NAD) and Shiromani Akali Dal Khalsa(SADK) participated in the protest.
Varun Gandhi is BJP MP candidate from Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh and to woo hindu votes, he allegedly made hatred remarks against Sikhs and Muslims that has sparked row in Indian politics.
Varun has said in his speech that he does not need votes of Pakistanis and Khalistanis which led to political controversy.
The Sikh protesters demanded cancellation of candidature of Varun Gandhi from BJP. Paramjit Singh Pamma, President National Akali Dal said, “ If BJP does not take action against him(Varun Gandhi) sikh community will boycott BJP”.
