ROTC member allower to wear turban

A US District Judge has ruled in favor of Sikh student confirming that the US Army’s refusal to allow him to join due to Turban and Beard is against the Religious Freedom Restoration Act(RFRA).
Earlier, Iknoor Singh, a student of Hofstra University applied for his university’s US Army ROTC program, but the US Army officials told him to shave his beard and cut his hair to be eligible for applying for religious accomodation. Iknoor Singh will have to reapply for religious accommodation at the end of his training.
