Akal Takhat Takes Serious Note of Decreasing Growth of Sikh Population

The religion based census conducted by Indian Government shows that growth of Sikh population has decreased by 0.2%. Government of India released religion based census data earlier this week which depicts growth rate of population of various religions with all other religion population having same or positive growth rate but growth rate of Sikhs has decreased in the last decade.

Akal Takhat Jathedar Warns Director of “Singh is Bling”

New upcoming movie of Akshey kumar “Singh Is Bling” is  also under controversy. Jathedar of Akal  takhat Sahib , Giani Gurbachan Singh has raised objection on some scenes of movie which depict Sikhs and sikhism wrongly. Giani Gurbachaan Singh gave warning  to Director of Movie “Singh is Bling” to remove those scenes from  the movie. Giani Gurbachan Singh said that  depiction of sikh kara (kakaar) as well as sikh places have been sacrilege in movie which could not be tolerated at any cost.

Air Pollution Monitoring System to be installed at Golden Temple

A French company will be installing Air pollution monitoring system at Golden Temple to monitor quality of air in and around Golden Temple complex. Though earlier this installation was scheduled to be completed by March 2015, now it will be completed by November this year.

Central Govt Should End the Blacklist of Sikhs – Manjit Singh GK

President of DGMC S.Manjeet Singh GK and ex member of parliament S.Tarlochan Singh met foreign minister Sushma Swaraj yesterday regarding the issue of foreign sikhs. During this meeting they asked remove the name of sikhs who are living in foreign countries from the blacklist maintained by Indian government restricting their entry into India. Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa’s Son-In-Law Murdered in Chicago

Bapu Surat singh khalsa who has been on Hunger strike from last six month and his son-In-Law Satwinder Singh Bhola has been murdered by unknown persons in Chicago.His Family Member said that Satwinder Singh bhola was attacked by knife when he was returning home. His wife sarvinder kaur came from ludhiana to chicago at 2 August.
